Stokke® Tripp Trapp® Chair

Tripp Trapp® The chair that grows with the child®

The high chair every home needs — the world's No.1 best-seller, with more than 14 million sold. Its simple, classic design works from birth* and lasts a lifetime, earning it the name "A Chair for Life". Another standout feature of the Tripp Trapp® children's chair: you can adjust the height and depth of both the seat and the footplate to fit your child perfectly.

1. In 1972, Stokke launched its very first children's product — a high chair: "The ingenious Tripp Trapp® chair", created by renowned Norwegian designer Peter Opsvik. 2. When Peter's son Tor turned 2, he noticed that the high chairs on the market didn't match the height of the dining table, nor give his son a proper place for his feet. So he set out to create a high chair that was comfortable and ergonomic for children, and let them sit at the family table. 3. "A Chair for Life" — a high chair that lets children sit at the same table as us, so we can share happy moments together. 4. Tripp Trapp® has sold 14 million chairs worldwide. Designed 50 years ago, it's still a hit today.

Why Tripp Trapp®? A classic design that never goes out of style

From birth The Tripp Trapp® Newborn Set lifts your baby up to table height, so they can share mealtimes with you at the family table from day one. With 2 adjustable recline positions and excellent leg support, your newborn stays comfortable and safe. It's easy to use and simple to attach to and remove from the Tripp Trapp® chair; red-green indicators confirm it's fitted correctly. It has a 5-point harness with soft shoulder pads and supports newborns up to 9 kg.

Freedom of movement The floor gives toddlers and children the freedom to explore and move naturally as they grow — it's where they learn balance and stability. That's why the Tripp Trapp® chair has a unique adjustable footplate that brings the floor up to the chair, so your child can move freely at every age.

Brings your child to the table Peter Opsvik's iconic design helps you bring your baby to the table and opens up time together as a family — eating, talking, laughing and bonding. A child's first years are crucial to their development; their early experiences lay the foundation for future learning and health, from birth through the toddler years and all through childhood.

Adjustability The Tripp Trapp® chair grows with your child. Its clever design adapts to children's natural freedom of movement, with a seat and footplate that adjust in both depth and height. Properly adjusted, your child gets a comfortable, ergonomic seating position at every age.

Longevity The Tripp Trapp® chair is made mainly from European beech and oak, with some of the finest wood often found in Central Europe, managed by bodies responsible for sustainability. Beech and oak are known for their strength, durability and resilience — a natural choice for furniture built to last for generations.

Customization With playful, versatile and practical accessories, the Tripp Trapp® chair can be used from birth, through the toddler years and right into adulthood. Choose from a range of on-trend colours to match your interior or your personal style.
