The 2020 DJ Mix & Spin Studio musical toy won a Tillywig Toy & Media Award before it even went on sale, taking home the “Best Children's Products Award”!
The Tillywig Awards (also known as the Tillywig Toy & Media Awards) are US awards for children's toys and media. Some parents use them as a guide when choosing toys for their children, and they are known among US retailers and children's product media. (Learn more on the Tillywig Toy & Media Awards website.)
A professional quality-testing team, including representatives from consumers, retailers, the media and other groups, thoroughly evaluates submitted products across a range of areas: quality, appearance, creativity, ease of initial use, repeat play value, social interaction and fine motor skills.
Before selecting winners in the various categories (including “Best Creative Fun,” “Best Family Fun,” “Best Fun” and others), the Tillywig Awards aim to provide retailers, media, parents, educators and consumers with detailed information and written expert reviews of outstanding children's products currently on the market.
DJ Mix & Spin Studio is a musical toy that realistically recreates instrument sounds. With 4 instrument sounds and 18 fun sound effects, it introduces little ones to the sounds of different instruments and lets them explore their musical potential through play.
This portable DJ studio incorporates wooden elements, giving it an appealing, classic look. Children can adjust the background sounds themselves, use the tempo slider to change the speed, add DJ sound effects and scratch the record along with the background music to create new sounds. Your little one will have plenty of fun immersing themselves in their own little world of music!
It also helps build memory, develop hand-eye coordination, patience and focus, and encourage creativity and musical potential, including sensitivity to sounds and a sense of rhythm through play. It introduces children to an interest in modern electronic music, too—keeping right up with the times! (Read more: How Music Benefits Children and How to Spot Musical Intelligence in Your Child.)
Before releasing it to the market, Hape tested the toy with children aged 12 months to 7 years. The positive feedback gave Hape full confidence that DJ Mix & Spin Studio would entertain children while also helping them develop an interest in music, learn more about music and improve their attention span.
Hape DJ Mix & Spin Studio's recognition from Tillywig, an important mark of distinction in the industry, together with positive feedback from testers, offers reassurance that this is an engaging, educational musical toy with quality construction and a great appearance. Having one at home might just inspire the next famous musician!
